Bor­go­g­no Dol­cet­to D’Al­ba Rosso ist ein tro­cken aus­ge­bau­ter und sor­ten­rei­ner Dol­cet­to Rot­wein vom Wein­gut Fratel­li Serio & Bat­tis­ta Bor­go­g­no aus der Wein­re­gi­on Pie­mont in Italien.

Ein Dol­cet­to d’Al­ba mit vol­len Frucht­aro­men der sehr gut zu Vor­spei­sen, Pas­ta, hel­lem Fleisch und jun­gen Käse passt.

Fratel­li Bor­go­g­no Notiz:

Colour: Red tin­ged with vio­let, indi­ca­ting the wines youth.

Bou­quet: Full and plea­sant­ly frui­ty, with well defi­ned hints of red fruit jam.

Fla­vour: Full bodi­ed, evo­king memo­ries of black­ber­ries and raspber­ries, with a clean dry finish.

Vini­fi­ca­ti­on and age­ing:  mace­ra­ti­on for 8–10 days in lar­ge oak casks, with fre­quent repla­ce­ment and tur­ning to ensu­re ade­qua­te oxy­gena­ti­on.  Fol­lo­wing a second fer­men­ta­ti­on cal­led the maloac­tic, the wine matures in stain­less steel con­tai­ners, ther­eby pre­ser­ving its ori­gi­nal fla­vours. The age­ing is com­ple­ted in bottles.

Food match: The wine for all meals. Ide­al for light star­ters and appe­ti­zers, also for long or stuf­fed pas­ta, white meat and fresh cheeses.

At the table: Should be ser­ved in nor­mal sized tulip shaped glas­ses at a tem­pe­ra­tu­re of around 15- 16°c.

In die­sem Gebiet liegt seit mehr als hun­dert Jah­ren das Wein­gut Fratel­li Serio und Bat­tis­ta Bor­go­g­no. Begon­nen hat Fran­ces­co Bor­go­g­no im alten Orts­zen­trum von Barolo.

Nach sei­nem Tod ging das Land zunächst als Erbe an sei­nen Enkel Ludo­vico und spä­ter dann an Serio und Bat­tis­ta, die hier drei Hekt­ar Neb­bio­lo und einen ande­ren Wein­berg mit Dol­cet­to bebauen.
